Peter I. Certo Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Certo Family in memory of Peter I. Certo. Peter graduated from SUNY Niagara in 1973 with his Associates Degree in Business Administration. In 1993 he joined the Foundation Board and remained a strong supporter of the school until his untimely death in 2017. Peter was a big advocate for education and hard work; which he believed were the keys to success. The scholarship established in his memory, will continue his legacy of dedication, strong work ethic, and giving back to the community. This scholarship benefits students pursuing higher education at SUNY Niagara while recognizing in perpetuity the importance Peter placed on his relationship with the college and the importance of his contributions to the college. Applicants must be an incoming or current student residing in Western New York and enrolled either full or part-time and have and maintain a minium 2.5 GPA. Applicants must be USA residents and of good character that have demonstrated participation and leadership in extracurricular and community activities.
