Barbara Burns-Higgins Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Dr. Barbara Burns-Higgins, a professor in the SUNY Niagara Nursing division and the 1989-90 recipient of the State University’s Chancellor’s Award of Excellence in Teaching. Applicants can be an incoming or current student enrolled in the Nursing program with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicant must have experience working in a health care facility either in a volunteer or employee capacity and include in their essay information on their volunteer or employment history in a health care facility. Priority will be given to non-traditional students.
