Briody Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Briody Health Care Facility served the Lockport community for over 70 years providing care to thousands of individuals in need of long term care or rehabilitation. Mrs. Edna Quinlivan Briody opened the facility in 1946. For three generations the Briody family welcomed patients and their families by providing personalized, compassionate care while preserving their patient’s dignity. This scholarship has been made possible by the generous donations made in memory of loved ones who had resided at the Briody Health Care Facility. The scholarship is to help NCCC Nursing students achieve their goals in working in the medical field to assist others. Applicants must be enrolled in the Nursing program and enrolled as a full or part-time student for the semester of the year the award is issued. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and scholarship is based on financial need and academic performance.
