Niagara County Bicentennial Scholarship

Niagara County celebrated its bicentennial in 2008, recognizing the rich history and culture that contribute to the uniqueness of each city, town and village. Celebrations took place at SUNY Niagara and in other key locations to reminisce about the people, past and present, who have worked to enrich Niagara County. This scholarship is created to continue Niagara’s legacy by recognizing a history scholar. Applicants must be a resident of Niagara County and involved with the history of Niagara County either through employment or volunteering. Include this information in your essay. Volunteerism should be focused on the history of Niagara County. Applicants can be a current or incoming student attending full-time and have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. 1 letter of recommendation is required from a current teacher, employer, civic or spiritual leader hightlighting your qualities of family values, integrity and involvement with the history of Niagara County.
