June Marie Moreland Nursing Scholarship

June Marie Moreland, a 1968 graduate from the SUNY Niagara Nursing Program, established this scholarship to recognize the achievements of a student pursuing a degree in Nursing at SUNY Niagara. For more than forty-five years, June has provided patients with professional and compassionate care. She comforted patients during pre and post op, rehabilitation, and both gero and acute psychiatric nursing care. June treated all with dignity and respect. Now retired, she wants to help Nursing students achieve their goals in working in the medical field to assist others. Applicants must be accepted in the Nursing program and preference will be given to non-traditional students and single moms who are in Niagara County. Applicants must be enrolled full-time for the semester of the year the award is issued and must have and minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA. Scholarship award is based on financial need and academic performance.
