Wolcott Keep Nursing Educational Fund

The Wolcott Keep Nursing Educational Fund was established by Wolcott Keep, a long-time resident of Lockport, New York.  Mr. Keep was active in community and civic affairs in the Lockport area throughout his lifetime.  His community achievements include membership with the Chamber of Commerce, Elks Club, Director of the YMCA, Trustee of the Lockport Savings Bank and Treasurer of the Lockport Public Library.  In addition, he was dedicated to education, as a member and officer with the Lockport School Board for over ten years and as a key person in initiating the construction of Lockport High School.  Mr. Keep was also a longtime supporter of Lockport Memorial Hospital.  Because of his commitment to education and his recognition of the need for quality health care in the community, this fund was established to provide educational assistance to students of the greater Buffalo area pursuing their Nursing degree. Applicants must be enrolled in the Nursing program as a full-time student for the semester of the year the award is issued with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
